• First of all, if the steam is open.

• Close the Steam.

• So on the top left click on Steam and then click on exit now once steam is closed.

• Now type in Steam in the Windows search box.

• Then right-click on the Steam app.

• Then click on the open file location.

• Now right-click on stream over there and then select properties.

• Go to the compatibility Tab and then uncheck the box.

• So if the option to run this program in compatibility mode is checked over there uncheck that box.

• Then click on apply and click on OK.

• Now open Steam.

• Then launch the game.

• Now, still you are facing the problem.

• Then again close Steam.

• Go to the game installation folder.

• Wherever the game is installed go to the game installation folder.

• So if the game is installing C drive open program files x86.

• Now open the Steam apps folder now open the common folder.

• Over there you will find the game folder.

• Wherever the game is installed if the game is installed in e Drive so open the steam apps common and now open the Call of Duty folder.

• Now over there you will see the game exe file that is cod exe make writing and then select properties.

• Then again go to the compatibility Tab and then uncheck the box which is run this program in compatibility mode 4.

• Uncheck that box and make sure this is not checked.

• Then click on apply.

• Then click on OK.

• Then launch the game and you should not receive this error message anymore.

• Also, make sure that your windows are up to date so update your windows to the latest version.

• So go to settings.

• Then click on update in security or Windows update.

• Then click on check for update.

• Once all the updates are installed.

• Restart your computer.

• Then launch the game.

• so one of the steps should help you to launch the game successfully and you should not receive this error message again.
